Peter Moro (1911-98) A Twentieth Century Architect Reassessed.

Saturday 14 November 2015, 10am-5pm, University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5LS (Room MG14)

A fascinating day conference organized by the Twentieth Century Society in collaboration with the University of Westminster Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment.

Peter Moro came to England from Germany in 1936 and worked with Berthold Lubetkin, whose influence is seen in his early work such as the luxurious house at Harbour Meadow near Chichester and his interiors at the Royal Festival Hall. Keeping his practice relatively small, Moro went on to specialize in theatre buildings (Nottingham, Hull and Plymouth) but did other work of high quality and originality.

Speakers include John Allan, Alistair Fair, Deirdre Fernand, Elain Harwood, Corinne Julius, John McKean, Alan Powers, Trevor Dannatt, with pupils, colleagues and family of Peter Moro.
