C20 Study Tour to Japan: 16 – 27 September 2017

We are pleased to announce that we have now finalised arrangements for our study tour to Japan. This has taken longer than we expected, mainly because changes in the Sterling/Yen exchange rate have made travel to Japan more expensive than when we first considered this tour.

We will be leaving on Saturday 16 September and returning on Wednesday 27 September. Our tour will visit:

    • Tokyo

    • Meiji Mura

    • Nagoya

    • Kyoto

    • Hiroshima

    • Yokohama

    • Kamakura

We have arranged with Cox and Kings, the tour operators, that they will manage the practical arrangements including booking flights if you require them.

The tour will be led by Cox and Kings with Professor Neil Jackson, Charles Reilly Professor of Architecture at the University of Liverpool, as the expert lecturer.

A pdf of the itinerery for the tour is available, though this may be subject to change at this stage. Please note that this study tour will involve a fair amount of walking between sites.

The price for ten nights on a bed and breakfast basis including direct British Airways fights from London to Tokyo Haneda is £5995. This price will be fixed as soon as you pay a 15% deposit and is based on twin room sharing. The single room supplement is £995.

How to Book

If you like to take part in the tour, or have any other queries, please contact Cox and Kings on 020 3813 9287 (Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm, Saturday 9am – 4pm) or email [] as soon as possible - quoting your C20 Membership number. They will also be able to offer you alternative flight arrangements, including upgrades and also extensions to your visit.
